Man arrested on stolen vehicle charges in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested May 11, 2026, after police found him in possession of a stolen vehicle on Thomaston Avenue.

Officers assigned to the Waterbury Police Department’s Auto Theft Task Force were conducting patrols in the area of Thomaston Avenue when they observed a Dodge Charger parked at 110 Thomaston Avenue.

Police said the vehicle had previously fled from multiple traffic stops.

Investigation revealed the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Hamden in 2024.

The operator was identified as David Rosado, 28, of Bridgeport.

Rosado was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with insufficient insurance, theft of a motor vehicle, misuse of marker plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, illegal alteration of a motor vehicle identification number and illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension.
