Man arrested on larceny charges in Argyle

ARGYLE, NY — The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a theft that occurred Friday afternoon.

Caleb A. Wadsworth, of Argyle, New York, was arrested in connection with a theft that occurred March 27 at approximately 2:02 p.m. on State Route 197 in the Town of Argyle, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.

An investigation determined that Wadsworth stole a wallet from a vehicle and subsequently used the credit cards contained in that wallet without the victim’s permission.

Wadsworth was charged with two counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E felony, and two counts of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor.

Wadsworth was arrested at the Washington County Jail, where he is currently being held on unrelated charges.

He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Argyle Court at a later date.
