Man arrested on DWI charge in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK, NY — A Texas man was arrested on drunken driving charges Tuesday night following a disturbance at a local establishment.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance call at 9:27 p.m. on Clifton Park Village Road.

Michael E. Chavarria, 42, of Lubbock, Texas, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or greater, both unclassified misdemeanors.

Chavarria is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.15%.

The disturbance was allegedly a result of Chavarria initially refusing to pay his bill at the establishment then yelling and screaming as he left.

He was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Clifton Park Town Court.
