Man arrested on burglary charge in Lansdowne

LANSDOWNE, PA — Police arrested a man on burglary charges after he was found attempting to escape from a residence on Lewis Avenue.

Ramar R. Morgan, 45, of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody at approximately 1:23 p.m. May 12 at 210 Lewis Ave.

East Lansdowne police were dispatched to the address for a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers from East Lansdowne, Lansdowne and Upper Darby police departments established a perimeter around the residence.

Officers conducted an interior search and discovered Morgan attempting to escape from the side of the residence.

Morgan was found in possession of several items from inside the residence, including jewelry, radiator coils and implements of burglary.

He was charged with residential burglary, possession of an instrument of crime, criminal mischief and criminal trespass by Det. Sgt. Kevin Myers.

Morgan was also found to be wanted on two separate unrelated warrants.

He was booked and committed to Delaware County Prison to await formal arraignment before Magisterial District Court 32-2-51.
