HARTFORD, CT — A Hartford man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a shooting that left a woman in critical condition.
Hartford Police patrol officers were dispatched to Oakland Terrace at approximately 11:55 a.m. on a report of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a gunshot victim, a female in her fifties, who was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The victim is currently listed in critical, but stable condition.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation.
During the course of the investigation, a suspect was quickly developed.
With the assistance of the Hartford Police Violent Crimes Unit, Patrol Division, and Emergency Response Team, the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident.
Jermane Daley, 39, of Hartford, was arrested and charged with assault in the first degree and criminal use of a firearm.
He is being held on $1.5 million bond.
