NEWARK, NJ — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman suspected of stealing a package from a front porch on May 8, 2026.
At approximately 12:06 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video removing the package from the porch of a home on the 60 block of Mott Street near Fleming Avenue.
The woman placed the package in a laundry bag and walked away.
She was wearing a denim jacket, a black hoodie, a black skirt, black leggings, and boots.
Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
