WORCESTER, MA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Hope Avenue on May 10, 2026.
Worcester Police Communications received a call at approximately 9:16 p.m. about a male who was hit by a vehicle near 137 Hope Avenue.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
He has been identified as James McGuire, 62, of Worcester.
A preliminary investigation shows McGuire was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by the vehicle.
The Worcester Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
There were no other injuries.
