Gunfire reported in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Police responded to a report of gunshots on Memorial Drive near River Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Cambridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police were on scene.

Authorities said there was no ongoing danger to the public.

Residents were asked to avoid the area.

Police said additional information would be released when available.
