GROTON, VT — A 20-year-old man was cited for negligent operation after his pickup truck drove off the road and into the woods early Saturday morning.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were patrolling Scott Highway at approximately 1:32 a.m. when they discovered the crashed vehicle.
The operator, William Dickey Jr. of Groton, had left the scene before troopers arrived.
An investigation revealed Dickey operated his vehicle in a negligent manner.
Troopers later made contact with Dickey at his residence and issued him a citation.
He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on June 22 at 8:30 a.m.
