SCHENECTADY, NY — A juvenile has been arrested after allegedly posting a threat on social media directed at a city school.
The Schenectady Police Department was made aware of the Instagram post on May 8, 2026.
The message threatened a shooting at the Schenectady City School District Freshman Academy.
Officers identified and located a suspect during the investigation.
The juvenile has been charged with making a terroristic threat, a class D felony.
Police said no further information will be released due to the age of the suspect.
