BENNINGTON, VT — A Wisconsin man was cited for negligent operation after state police observed him driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
On May 9, 2026, at approximately 5:58 p.m., troopers observed a vehicle traveling southbound in a northbound section of U.S. Route 7 near Exit 2.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop and identified the operator as William Gustave Roff, 55, of Deerbrook, Wisconsin.
Roff was cited for negligent operation and ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Bennington Criminal Division on June 22, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
