WARWICK, RI — A Cranston man was arrested on a driving under the influence charge Friday afternoon following a traffic stop on Route 95.
Alistair Pierce, 33, of Cranston, was taken into custody at 1:15 p.m. by Rhode Island State Police troopers.
Pierce was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor – .15 or greater – first offense.
Troopers located a vehicle that was the subject of a be-on-the-lookout alert and conducted a motor vehicle stop, according to state police.
Pierce’s blood alcohol content registered at .209 percent in the first test and .217 percent in the second test.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
Pierce was released with a future Third Division District Court date.
