FORT EDWARD, NY — A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant stemming from a domestic incident that occurred March 18.
Roy E. Moses was taken into custody April 26 when deputies recognized him while assisting the Hudson Falls Police Department at the scene of a structure fire, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
Deputies were called to County Route 46 in the Town of Fort Edward on March 18 at approximately 5:40 p.m. for a report of a domestic incident.
The investigation determined that Moses had attacked a person known to him, choking them and fleeing the scene in a vehicle prior to deputies’ arrival.
Deputies made contact with Moses on multiple occasions, and he twice indicated he would turn himself in but failed to do so.
A warrant of arrest was subsequently obtained.
Moses was transported to the Washington County Law Enforcement Center in Fort Edward.
During processing, Moses was uncooperative and ultimately damaged equipment in the processing room resulting in additional charges.
Moses was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor; criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a class A misdemeanor; assault in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor; violation of probation; criminal trespass; and two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was arraigned through centralized arraignment and released.
