PLAINVILLE, CT — A bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of West Main Street and Forestville Avenue on May 7, 2026.
The Plainville Police Department received several E-911 calls regarding the crash at approximately 7:24 p.m.
The bicyclist, a 39-year-old man, sustained serious physical injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The operator of the motor vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Connecticut State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad responded to assist the Plainville Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident or may have video surveillance of the incident to contact Officer Annese of the Plainville Police Department.
