Two injured in rollover crash in Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NY — Two people were injured when a vehicle rolled over multiple times on Mapledale Road on May 6, 2026.

Deputies responded to the area at approximately 3:41 p.m. for a reported vehicle in a ditch with numerous injuries, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

Jacob Land, 21, of Leonardsville, was driving a 1998 Buick sedan south on Mapledale Road when he lost control of the vehicle due to unsafe speeds for the road conditions, deputies said.

The vehicle exited the roadway into a ditch and struck a culvert pipe, causing it to roll over multiple times.

Land was transported by Edward’s Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for suspected facial injuries.

A passenger, Miranda Raposo, 20, of Bridgewater, was transported by Bridgewater Ambulance to Wynn Hospital for suspected upper arm and shoulder injuries.

Citations will be issued as a result of the crash.

Deputies were assisted by Bridgewater Fire Department, Bridgewater Ambulance, Edward’s Ambulance and Kolor Khromatics Auto.
