HARWICH, MA — A Brewster woman faces multiple charges following a two-vehicle crash that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Several 911 calls were made at approximately 8:50 p.m. Thursday reporting a crash at the intersection of Pleasant Lake Avenue and Harwoods Avenue.

First-arriving police officers and firefighters found a pickup truck and a sedan, both with significant front-end damage.

The driver of the sedan was trapped inside his vehicle with life-threatening injuries.

After an extensive extrication process, firefighters were able to safely remove the person, and he was transported to Barnstable Airport where he was transferred to a Medflight helicopter and taken to a Boston area hospital.

An on-scene investigation resulted in the driver of the truck being placed under arrest.

That driver was taken to Cape Cod Hospital due to some minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Josephine Marsh, 26, of Brewster was scheduled to be arraigned in Orleans District Court Friday morning on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, using an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
