PAWLING, NY — A motorcyclist has died following a crash at the intersection of State Route 55 and State Route 292.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal collision that occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. on April 27, 2026.
Kayden Kabashi, 19, of Beekman, was operating a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on State Route 55 when it struck a 2003 Honda SUV at the intersection, according to preliminary investigation.
Kabashi was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he died on May 1, 2026.
The occupants of the Honda were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
