PAWLING, NY — A motorcyclist has died following a collision at the intersection of State Route 55 and State Route 292.
Kayden Kabashi, 19, of Beekman, was operating a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on State Route 55 when it struck a 2003 Honda SUV at approximately 8:15 a.m. on April 27, 2026, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
Kabashi was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, where he died on May 1, 2026.
The occupants of the Honda were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing by members of the Sheriff’s Office’s Detective Bureau and Crash Investigation Unit.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Towns of Pawling and Patterson Fire Departments.
