Man injured in crash in Floyd

FLOYD, NY — A one-car crash early Sunday left a Floyd man injured after his vehicle struck a tree.

Deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office responded to River Road at approximately 12:50 a.m. May 2 for a report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident.

An investigation determined that Michael Giordano, 31, of Floyd, was operating a 2018 Subaru Legacy when he exited the roadway and collided head-on with a tree.

Giordano was transported to Wynn Hospital by Amcare Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.

He was issued a traffic citation returnable to Floyd Town Court on a later date.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Amcare Ambulance, the Floyd Volunteer Fire Department and the New York State Police.
