MERIDEN, CT — A man turned himself in to police Wednesday on charges stemming from the sexual assault of a minor.
Jerry Santiago, 38, of Meriden, surrendered to authorities April 30 following a months-long investigation.
The Meriden Police Department Special Crimes Unit began investigating the case Nov. 25, 2024.
Santiago faces one count of sexual assault in the first degree and two counts of risk of injury to a minor.
He was held on a $400,000 court-set surety bond and was scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court.
