Man arrested on DUI charge in Waterville

WATERVILLE, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on a second DUI charge after his truck went off the road Thursday afternoon.

Troopers received a call at approximately 5:25 p.m. about a truck off the road on Codding Hollow Road.

A witness reported the operator had gone off the road and appeared to be intoxicated.

Troopers and a Vermont Fish and Wildlife Service warden responded to the scene.

The operator was located a short distance away and identified as Kenneth Lanpher, 25, of Waterville.

While speaking with Lanpher, troopers observed several indicators of impairment.

He was screened and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Lanpher was transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing.

He was released with a citation to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court on May 5 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charge of DUI #2.
