PITTSBURGH, PA — A Brookline man was arrested after a sheriff’s K9 found him hiding in the basement of a home, according to Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus.
William Hatfield, 23, of Brookline, was wanted on probation violation bench warrants issued this week in three separate cases, two of which involve guilty pleas to drug charges.
Hatfield also has an active warrant out of the City of Pittsburgh for burglary and robbery connected to a home invasion that took place earlier this month on Mt. Washington.
Detectives developed information that Hatfield was inside a duplex along Pioneer Avenue.
Detectives arrived at the location and after making entry, deployed K9 Riky to help locate the suspect.
K9 Riky located Hatfield hiding in the basement of one of the duplex units.
Hatfield was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
