REMSEN, NY — A Remsen man has been arrested after a suspicious activity complaint, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
On April 24, 2026, road patrol deputies received a call regarding a possible criminal mischief complaint in the Town of Remsen.
The victim stated that a neighbor had broken his truck window and was seen on his property.
The victim was able to provide a statement of the cost of the damages to his truck which exceeded $250.
The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Unit due to the felony level offense.
Trevor Burns, 24, of Remsen, was arrested on scene and was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, an E felony, and trespass, a violation.
Burns was transported to the Law Enforcement Building and was booked, taken to CAP court, and arraigned that night.
Burns is being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility on his charges and will be appearing in the Town of Remsen Court on a later date.
