GLENMONT, NY — A motorcyclist was killed Monday when his vehicle collided with a sport utility vehicle at the intersection of Route 9W and Magee Drive.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a sport utility vehicle traveling southbound on Route 9W collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound on Route 9W.
The operator of the SUV, Eric Thompson, 53, of Glenmont, was transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The operator of the motorcycle, Mason Ruggaber, 19, of Delmar, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Bethlehem Police Crash Investigation personnel responded and conducted a crash reconstruction as part of the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation to determine contributing factors.
