Man arrested on drug trafficking charge in Rockland

ROCKLAND, ME — A Rockland man was arrested on drug trafficking charges after police recovered more than 30 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop and search of his residence.

Seth Poland, 47, of Rockland, was contacted by officers on proactive patrol at approximately 11:30 a.m. on April 27, 2026, according to the Rockland Police Department.

During the contact and subsequent investigation, officers recovered the methamphetamine from Poland’s vehicle and residence.

Poland was out on pre-conviction bail at the time of his arrest for a prior felony unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs charge from February 2026.

He was arrested and booked into the Knox County Holding Facility on new charges of felony unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.

The Rockland Police Department said it often receives information and complaints from citizens regarding locations suspected to be involved in drug trafficking.

Police said they have made multiple narcotics arrests through proactive and directed patrols and executed a number of narcotics-related search warrants in the past year.
