Binoculars, radios stolen in Manchester-by-the-Sea

MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA, MA — Police are investigating the theft of equipment from a nonprofit educational organization at Dexter’s Pond.

Eight pairs of binoculars and three radios were stolen Tuesday while staff from Kestrel Educational Adventures were preparing trails for students, according to the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department.

Kestrel Educational Adventures is a nonprofit that provides local students with hands-on environmental education.

The stolen items were grant-funded, police said.

The theft will directly impact upcoming programs for area students, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department at 978-526-1212 or return the items to 10 Central Street.
