Two arrested on drug trafficking charges in Webster

WEBSTER, MA — Two Connecticut residents were arrested on drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.

Officer Katrina Mrzyglod and her Field Training Officer Shane Murray stopped a rental vehicle on Lake Street at approximately 2:08 a.m. after observing what they believed to be a vehicle involved in narcotics distribution.

The occupants were identified as Tina Passmore and Kris Fitton, whom officers knew had outstanding warrants.

Sergeant Sean Ebbeling and Officer Nicholas Trinque arrived shortly after the initial stop.

Both individuals were removed from the vehicle, and officers developed probable cause to search Passmore, Fitton and the vehicle.

A search of Passmore’s purse yielded approximately 43.47 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale, according to police.

Officers also located several grams of heroin and hydrocodone pills in small containers.

Officer Trinque found five corner baggies of crack cocaine weighing 11.14 grams during a search of Fitton.

The total weight of crack cocaine seized was 54.61 grams.

Passmore, 57, of Thompson, Connecticut, was charged with trafficking cocaine 36-100 grams, conspiracy to violate a drug law, possession of a Class A controlled substance and possession of a Class C controlled substance.

Fitton, 48, of Danielson, Connecticut, was charged with trafficking cocaine 36-100 grams, conspiracy to violate a drug law and possession of a Class B controlled substance, subsequent offense.

Fitton was also arrested on three outstanding warrants from 2022 and 2023 for shoplifting, possession of a Class B drug, improper use of a credit card, larceny under $250 from a person over 60, credit card fraud under $1,200, identity fraud, false statement to obtain a credit card, operating after suspension subsequent offense, failure to yield, disturbing the peace, speeding, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct and failure to stop for police.
