NAZARETH, PA — Police responded to a reported disturbance at an apartment on Belvidere Street early April 5.

Officers arrived at about 12:19 a.m. and located two people on the second floor, including a visibly intoxicated man.

A female companion told officers the man, identified as Jose Cabrera, 37, of Pennsylvania, may have injured his arm in a fall.

An ambulance was called and transported Cabrera to the hospital.

At the hospital, Cabrera refused to exit the ambulance and needed to be removed by authorities.

Police say Cabrera then briefly escaped from custody inside the hospital but was quickly apprehended.

He was admitted for medical treatment.

Nazareth Police said charges are pending against Cabrera, including resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
