OGDENSBURG, NY — New York State Police charged a man with petit larceny and drug-related offenses following an incident at a Walmart on April 24, 2026.

Jason W. Paige, 42, of Ogdensburg, was charged with petit larceny, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree.

Troopers responded to the Walmart on Ford Street Extension at approximately 6:17 p.m. for a larceny complaint.

An investigation determined that Paige entered the store and failed to scan all items while at a self-checkout aisle, stealing merchandise valued at $84.61 and passing all points of purchase.

Paige was taken into custody and, during a search, was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to SP Ogdensburg for processing and was later released on an appearance ticket.

Paige is scheduled to appear in City of Ogdensburg Court at a later date in May.
