PRINCETON, NJ — A juvenile riding an e-bike was critically injured in a collision with a motor vehicle at about 12:01 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Ewing Street and Terhune Road, police said.
Princeton police, the Princeton Fire Department and the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
Emergency personnel rendered medical aid to the juvenile, who was taken to a local hospital and remained in critical condition, according to police.
A preliminary investigation found the juvenile was traveling northbound on Ewing Street and entered the intersection at Terhune Road, where the e-bike collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Terhune Road, police said.
The driver of the vehicle suffered a minor injury, according to police.
The Princeton Police Department’s Serious Collision Response Team and representatives from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office responded to investigate.
The area around Ewing Street and Terhune Road was closed for about three and a half hours, police said.
Police said no additional information about the juvenile will be released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
