WALTHAM, MA — An 8-year-old child was injured after a collision involving an electric scooter and a pickup truck on April 24.
Officers responded to the area of Charles Street Avenue at approximately 5:46 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle crash.
Preliminary information indicates the child was riding an electric scooter when a collision occurred with a GMC pickup truck traveling on Charles Street Avenue.
The child was transported to a local hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The crash remains under investigation by the Waltham Crash Reconstruction Team.
No determination of fault has been made at this stage.
Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances of the crash and will determine whether any charges are appropriate.
