SOUTHPORT, NY — A Southport man was arrested on domestic charges April 23, 2026.
Dylan B. James, 22, of Southport was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors, and harassment in the second degree, a violation, after a domestic dispute.
James was issued appearance tickets to appear in Southport Town Court at a later date.
Man arrested in neighbor dispute in Van Etten

VAN ETTEN, NY — A Van Etten man was arrested on charges stemming from an ongoing neighbor dispute April 23, 2026.
Richard C. Hammond, 80, of Van Etten was charged with stalking in the fourth degree, a class B misdemeanor, criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Hammond was issued appearance tickets to appear in Van Etten Town Court at a later date.
Man arrested on weapon charge in Big Flats

BIG FLATS, NY — An Elmira man was arrested on a felony weapon charge April 23, 2026.
Donavyn J. Armstrong, 32, of Elmira was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony, after being questioned by law enforcement.
Armstrong was found to have an outstanding superior court warrant for violation of probation, issued by Chemung County Court on April 7, 2026.
Armstrong was arraigned and remanded to the Chemung County Jail.
