Man arrested on sexual assault charges in Norwalk

NORWALK, CT — A 36-year-old man has been arrested on sexual assault charges involving two juveniles.

Members of the Norwalk Police Department Patrol Division responded to a report of two juveniles who were sexually assaulted on Nov. 15.

The suspect was reported to be a former family acquaintance.

The investigation was assumed by the Special Victims Unit, where Detective Rodriguez identified the suspect as Francisco Rodriguez-Posligua.

Following an extensive investigation, Detective Rodriguez developed probable cause and applied for an arrest warrant, which was issued by Stamford Superior Court.

On April 20, Francisco Rodriguez-Posligua, of Orange, was taken into custody without incident.

Rodriguez-Posligua was charged with two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree and two counts of illegal sexual contact with victim under 16.

He was held on $100,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on April 21.
