HOLYOKE, MA — Police arrested a man found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle and seized heroin, fentanyl and cocaine Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to 285 Maple Street around 3:35 p.m. for a report of a driver asleep in a vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle and observed the driver, later identified as Frankie Quinones, slumped over the wheel.
Officers attempted to wake Quinones and noticed the car was shifted in drive.
Quinones eventually woke up and placed the car in park.
Police determined Quinones had an outstanding arrest warrant and his license was expired.
Officers placed him under arrest.
During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered approximately 27 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl, suboxone prescribed to a different person and more than $380 in cash.
Officers also recovered suspected cocaine in Quinones’ pocket.
Frankie Quinones, 44, of Holyoke is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class A drug – subsequent offense, possession with the intent to distribute a Class B drug – subsequent offense, possession with the intent to distribute a Class E drug – subsequent offense, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an arrest warrant.
