GALWAY, NY — A 40-year-old woman was arrested April 8, 2026, on burglary and grand larceny charges following an investigation into a theft at a residence.
State Police arrested Brittany M. Giello, of Middle Grove, and charged her with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony.
Troopers responded March 25, 2026, to a residence in Galway for a report of a past burglary.
The investigation determined that Giello allegedly entered the unoccupied residence without permission March 19, 2026, and took multiple items of significant value.
Giello then reportedly sold some of the stolen items, resulting in a theft of more than $3,000 from the unknowing buyer.
Giello was processed at State Police barracks in Saratoga.
She was arraigned at Milton Town Court and released under the supervision of the Saratoga County Probation Department.
