Vehicle crashes onto train tracks in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — A vehicle crashed through a fence and plunged over a 30-foot retaining wall onto train tracks at the Pleasantville train station Wednesday afternoon.

The Pleasantville Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 1:22 p.m. along with the Pleasantville Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Mt. Pleasant Paramedics Westchester EMS.

Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle overturned on its roof on the tracks.

MTA power was shut off in both directions of travel.

Rescue 47 and Engine 91 assisted with patient care and packaging.

Pleasantville Fire Department units remained on scene until a tow company removed the vehicle.

The scene was turned over to MTA representatives, MTA Police and Pleasantville Police Department.

While operating at the crash scene, Pleasantville Fire Department units also responded to a stuck occupied elevator.
