HANOVER TOWNSHIP, PA — Police arrested a man on drug and alcohol charges following an incident on First Street.
Alvin Smiley, 45, of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody April 16, 2026, and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.
According to the Hanover Township Police Department, Smiley was found in possession of crack cocaine during the incident at 421 First St.
He was transported to police headquarters for processing.
Charges were filed via summons.
