Man arrested on domestic assault charge in Waterbury

WATERBURY, VT — The Vermont State Police arrested a local man on a domestic assault charge April 16.

Ian Thompson, 30, of Waterbury, was taken into custody at 6:04 p.m. on Spruce Haven Road.

Police said they received a report of a domestic assault at that location.

An investigation revealed Thompson caused bodily injury to a family member, according to police.

Thompson was placed under arrest and brought to the Berlin Barracks for processing.

He was issued conditions of release and a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division on April 17 at 12:30 p.m.

Thompson was held for lack of $250 bail.
