AURELIUS, NY — New York State Police responded to a barn fire on State Route 326 on April 13, 2026, at approximately 9 p.m.
Troopers and multiple fire departments arrived to find the barn fully engulfed in flames.
The property owner reported that approximately 40 ducks, 30 turkeys, several chickens and one pig were inside the structure at the time of the fire and were unable to escape.
All animals perished in the fire.
No injuries to persons were reported.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
