PROVIDENCE, RI — State Police arrested two men on multiple driving-related charges following separate incidents in the city.
At 9:45 a.m., troopers arrested Ryan Gobern, 49, of East Providence, for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle and driving on a suspended license, 4th or more offense.
Police said the arrest followed a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident, with troopers locating Gobern and his vehicle on Douglas Avenue.
Gobern was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.
At 11 a.m., troopers arrested Thomas Farizer, 64, of Providence, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, 4th or more offense.
Farizer was also arrested on two Sixth Division District Court bench warrants for failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, 4th or more offense, and failure to appear/pay for domestic violence originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Bridgham Street.
Farizer was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and transported to the ACI Men’s Intake Center where he is being held as a bail violator.
In a separate incident at 3:57 p.m., troopers arrested Kevin Jordan, 62, of Tiverton, for reckless driving following a motor vehicle accident in Providence.
Jordan was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
