Man arrested on felony charge in Corinth

CORINTH, NY — A Malta man faces felony and misdemeanor charges following an incident early Monday morning.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service at 1:28 a.m. on Center Street in the village of Corinth.

Logan J. Haywood, 25, of Malta, was arrested and charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Haywood is accused of committing a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.

He is also charged with violating an order of protection by being in the protected person’s presence.

Haywood was arraigned before the Honorable Lane Schermerhorn in the Corinth Town Court and released to pretrial services pending further proceedings in that court.
