SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A 65-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after reports of erratic driving.

Walter R. Dule, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of 1741 Ellington Road.

South Windsor police responded to the area of Buckland Road after receiving reports of a vehicle driving erratically across the roadway, leaving the road and nearly striking a sign.

Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot and identified Dule as the driver.

During the investigation, police determined Dule was under the influence of alcohol and discovered an open container on the passenger seat of the vehicle.

Dule consented to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which he failed.
