PAWTUCKET, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a 20-year-old man on April 13, 2026, on charges including kidnapping, felony assault and sexual assault.
Jeshua Ferreira Young, of Pawtucket, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Young faces charges of domestic violence kidnapping, domestic violence felony assault, domestic violence simple assault, domestic violence disorderly conduct and two counts of first-degree sexual assault.
Young was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Providence Police Department on scene.

PROVIDENCE, RI — GEU Detectives arrested a 40-year-old man on April 13, 2026, on charges including larceny and willful trespass.
Lysander Torres, of Providence, was arrested on charges of larceny under $1,500 and willful trespass.
Torres also had a Third District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for technical violation on a charge of larceny under $1,500 originating from the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
He also had a Sixth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for technical violation on a charge of domestic violence simple assault originating from the Providence Police Department.
Torres was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a morning arraignment.

CRANSTON, RI — The ACI Investigations Unit charged a 21-year-old man on April 14, 2026, with possession of a controlled substance.
Francisco Herpin, of Woonsocket, was charged with possession of controlled substance less than 10 grams.
Herpin was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was granted $1,000 surety bail and remanded to the ACI.

Timothy Carlos, of Scituate, was charged with domestic violation of no contact order, first offense.
Carlos was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was granted $1,000 surety bail and remanded to the ACI.

CRANSTON, RI — The ACI Investigations Unit charged a 52-year-old Connecticut man on April 14, 2026, as a fugitive from justice.
Douglas Markie, of Pawcatuck, Connecticut, was charged as a fugitive from justice from the State of Connecticut.
Markie was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he was remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs’ Department pending his return to Connecticut.
