CHELSEA, MA — Three people were stabbed during an altercation at Bossom Park on Bellingham Street on April 13, 2026, according to Chelsea Police.
Police received a call at 4:51 p.m. reporting the stabbing.
Responding officers found three individuals suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Two of the three victims were later placed under arrest: a juvenile male and Christian Lopez Asencio, 18, of Chelsea.
Police detectives determined that a verbal confrontation between Asencio and the juvenile led to a fight in which both were armed with knives.
Both Asencio and the juvenile sustained non-life-threatening stab wounds during the fight.
An adult male witness who attempted to break up the fight was cut on his hand.
All three were transported to the hospital for treatment, with Asencio and the juvenile under arrest.
Chief Keith E. Houghton said patrol officers and detectives quickly determined what happened despite multiple crime scenes created when those involved fled.
