Man arrested on murder charge in Saratoga Springs

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of John “Clay” Williamson Jr.

Kyle D. Baker, 52, of Corinth, was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court on a class A-1 felony charge of second-degree murder.

Police allege Baker intentionally stabbed the victim, causing his death.

Baker is currently unhoused and was living in a wooded area on West Avenue, according to police.

Judge Francine Vero arraigned Baker and remanded him to Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.

His next scheduled court appearance is Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 9 a.m.
