FREETOWN, NY — A 50-year-old man was arrested on a petit larceny charge after deputies responded to a theft complaint.
Shane W. Banks, of Freetown, was taken into custody at 7:03 p.m. April 12.
Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Center Road in the town of Freetown at approximately 5:08 p.m. for a reported larceny complaint.
Authorities determined that Banks stole property from the location.
Banks was transported to the Public Safety Building for processing.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Freetown Town Court on May 20 at 5:00 p.m. for arraignment.
