Man arrested on domestic charges in Moreau

MOREAU, NY — The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an inactive domestic incident call on April 5 at 7:49 p.m. on Bluebird Terrace.

Investigation into the matter led to the arrest of Michael G. Ash, 48, of Fort Edward.

Ash was charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Ash is accused of committing a specified offense under the statute having previously been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding five years.

He is also charged with violating an order of protection by being in the presence of the protected person.

Ash was arraigned before the Honorable John Hogan in the Moreau Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings in that court.
