WHITEHALL, NY — A man was arrested after an ATM machine was stolen from a laundromat on Main Street, according to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy.
Deputies were dispatched to the business at approximately 2:17 a.m. on April 10 for a report of a stolen ATM.
Upon arrival, deputies located Jeremy M. Ross, 43, of Whitehall, standing near the damaged ATM machine outside the business.
A review of surveillance footage confirmed that Ross had dragged the ATM machine out of the laundromat.
He was also captured on multiple cameras damaging additional surveillance equipment inside the business.
Ross was charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony, and criminal mischief in the third degree, a class E felony.
He was arraigned through centralized arraignment and released.
Ross is scheduled to appear in Whitehall Village Court at a later date.
