Home Depot employee arrested on theft charge in Warrington

WARRINGTON, PA — A Home Depot employee was arrested April 10, 2026, after allegedly stealing more than $7,400 worth of merchandise over a three-week period.

Warrington Police responded to the Home Depot at 650 Easton Road for an employee theft investigation.

Loss prevention had detained Freddy Iban Madrid-Lopez, 19, of Philadelphia, in the office.

Madrid-Lopez allegedly stole approximately $7,467.72 worth of merchandise between March 8 and March 28.

Police said Madrid-Lopez had two accomplices select merchandise and proceed to the self-checkout where Madrid-Lopez would void the sale.

The accomplices exited the store with the merchandise without paying, according to police.

Madrid-Lopez was arrested and transported to the station where he was processed.

He was arraigned by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $50,000 or 10 percent cash.

Madrid-Lopez was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

He is charged with theft by unlawful taking, a third-degree felony.
