LEBANON, NH — Three people were arrested on drug and trespass charges after police discovered an encampment in a wooded area near the Connecticut River on April 14.
Officers from the Lebanon Police Department responded to a report of a campsite located between the former Stateline Sports building and the Connecticut River on Bridge Street at approximately 8:25 a.m.
Police found a large, established encampment containing significant amounts of debris, including rotting food, clothing, hypodermic needles and other trash.
Three individuals were located at the scene.
Nichole Rogers, 42, no address provided, admitted that a portion of the property belonged to her.
Shannon Barry, 38, of White River Junction, and William Spinks, 45, of Chelsea, were found inside a tent within the encampment.
During the investigation, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia within the tent.
Barry was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine, and Spinks was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl.
All three individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Lebanon Police Department for processing.
Barry was charged with criminal trespass, felony possession of controlled drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Spinks was charged with criminal trespass, felony possession of controlled drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rogers was charged with criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful activities.
Rogers was held on $500 cash bail and later turned over to the Grafton County House of Corrections.
Barry and Spinks were released on personal recognizance and issued a summons to appear June 15 in Lebanon District Court.
